A.J. Somerset is a writer based in London, Ontario.

His novel, Combat Camera, won the 2010 Metcalf-Rooke Award. He has written extensively for outdoor magazines in Canada and the United States, and his writing has also appeared in the National Post, Quill & Quire, and Canadian Notes & Queries.

His second book, Arms, is an exploration of North American gun culture. It will be published in 2014.
